Roger’s Filthy Martini
Roger has been a martini guy for as long as I have known him. Though, truth be told, I think we avoided making them at home, because they never quite turned out right. Buuuuuuuuttttt, we kept at it, such a massive sacrifice, I know, and I think we’ve found the perfect recipe! Keep in mind, they are called filthy, because they are extra briney, and for those who don’t mind a bit of salt.
A few tips: use a good vodka, a cocktail shaker is a must- it needs to be extremely cold, and definitely use a coup or martini glass- this truly does a make a difference!
- 5 oz good Vodka we love Belvedere
- 2 oz olive brine we use Stirrings
- green olives
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add in vodka and dirty martini mix, seal with the lid, and shake until the cocktail shaker is extremely cold
- Pour into a martini glass – believe me, a good coup or martini glass makes all the difference in taste. Garnish with olives on a toothpick or cocktail pick
