This Creamy Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce is made with fresh cilantro, creamy mayonnaise, and spicy jalapeños for a kick of flavor. Perfect for taco bowls, salads, and more, this Whole30 recipe will be your new go-to condiment!

I don’t know about you guys, but I love a good sauce. Even more importantly, I love when they’re made with simple fresh ingredients, come with health benefits, and taste incredible. Of course, all of these qualities are hard to find in one recipe. So, when I threw together this Creamy Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce, I knew I had to share it.

My whole family is obsessed – so much so, I have resorted to making large batches at a time and storing them in the fridge. However, truth be told, I’m not upset about this at all. The sauce comes out a pretty green color that looks so fancy stored in clear containers. Plus, it comes together in minutes.

Ingredients Needed to Make Creamy Jalapeño Cilantro Sauce:

  • Sliced deli jalapeños (I used Jeff’s Garden)
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Garlic cloves
  • Lime juice
  • Salt
cilantro sauce

To make this sauce, all you have to do is mix all of the ingredients together. Through trial and error, I have found that using either a food processor or high-speed blender works the best in order to yield a smooth, creamy sauce rather than a chunky salsa-like texture.

Start by seeding your jalapeños of choice. I prefer the pickling of deli jalepeños as they yield a deeper and more briny flavor. However, you can absolutely use fresh jalapeño peppers if you prefer. Just make sure they are well seeded, and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the mixture before blending.

Then, just throw everything together and blend away! The texture of your sauce will vary depending on how long you blend. For chunkier textures, try pulsing the blender. To achieve a smooth texture, blend the ingredients at the highest speed until smooth. No matter what texture you’re looking to achieve, you will be left with a slightly spicy and incredibly creamy sauce that is balanced out with the freshness of cilantro without being overpowering.
